10 Tiny Flourishes from July

1. Notables list and these tiny flourishes lists – I started these lists because at the end of last year, I found myself only remembering the difficult and challenging things. The lists help me pay attention to the good things in life.

2. A hot air balloon flew over the backyard – We were sitting outside on a Sunday afternoon and Jim said he heard a hot air balloon. Sure enough, it was floating right over our heads! So fun!

3. We went to a Shakespeare outdoor performance of the Merry Wives of Windsor – Outdoor performances are always fun and this version was set in the old west, which worked really well and made it even more fun.

4. Lamy Safari fountain pen, purchased in Asheville stationary shop in June, but I’ve used it everyday and I’m loving it.

5. Frozen Acai bowls – We eat plant based and I also avoid sugar. I found these bowls at Costco and they’re a nice treat with no added sugar.

6. NYC trip – I already wrote about this a little bit, but we had a great time!

7. My cookbook, Eat at Home Tonight is 5 years old now!

8.  Lots of art – I’ve been doing nearly daily art in my sketchbook.

9. Tomatoes from the garden – The tomatoes were very late this year, but they’re finally coming on strong.

10. Sunflowers and zinnias – My flower garden is blooming wildly!
